One Year Blog Anniversary Giveaway! ***closed***

Hey guys!!! My one year blog anniversary is fast approaching (July 5th) so I wanted to do a thank you giveaway to my followers. In one year I've learned so much, and met so many amazing people, some of which I consider great friends. I never realized how big the nail polish community really is! I have a lot of fun playing with my nails and have gone from a stash of nothing to almost 600 in a year.

There will be two prizes for this giveaway, first is two Deborah Lippmann polishes from the Footloose collection, Dancing in the Sheets and Let's Hear it for the Boy. Dancing in the sheets is a beautiful dark blurple shimmer, and Let's Hear it for the Boy is a light blue. (Swatches are from my own two bottles)

Second prize is two sets of Sally Hansen spring 2012 nail strips, one has multi-colored little birds, and the other is multi-colored butterflies, and a nail file with the same butterflies. They are both adorable and from what I've seen can't be bought anymore.

Rules for this giveaway are simple.

1. Be a GFC follower
2. Enter with the Rafflecopter widget below
3. Open internationally
4. Good luck and thanks!!

This giveaway is not sponsored by anyone including the companies the prizes are from. All items were bought by myself, all are brand new unused and unopened.

FLOAM!!

Hey guys!! YES!! it's true, I'm alive! Almost done for the semester and I am ready for a break!! I've been keeping the same polish on my nails for days at a time, which isn't like me, because I'm so busy!

Quick updates, my contest ends in just a few days!! Follow the link and post your mani! I told all of you about my son having a seizure a while ago, and last week we finally got in to see a pediatric neurologist, he diagnosed Brendan with epilepsy and started him on meds to prevent him from having seizures. Since we started the meds last Friday he has been sleeping better which in my mind is a good sign! We got the call today, and now his EEG is scheduled for May 21, keep your fingers crossed we get some good news!

So onto my nails, sorry these pics aren't in my light box, the family room (where I have it) is all torn up and I'm too lazy to go down there right now, haha. Five hours of yardwork Sunday will do that to ya! So anyway as a belated birthday present from the lovely Amy at I'm Feeling Nail-Venturous she sent me the amazing Floam! Talk about an awesome polish. I honestly cannot figure out how to explain it, it's blue, green and yellow what I guess you could call matte glitters? Whatever it is is awesome! I'm sure some of you know of it :)

This is two coats after TWO full days of wear, and still perfect!! Clean up is a &8^?/ but well worth it!

What do you guys think?

Until next time! Happy painting!

New frankens, made by me! Check them out :)

Hey guys! Here today with two frankens I've had in mind for weeks! But I finally ordered everything I needed for them, well for tests of them anyway heh. So I wanted to introduce you to my new babies!

The first is called "meet me in the stars" it's a blue/black base with holo, red, green, gold, and purple micro glitters, and large silver hex glitters. The pics are two coats.

The next is "cherry cupcake" inspired by my kitchen! (I'll show a pic at the end of my kitchen), It's a clear base with red micro glitter, small red round glitters, small red hex glitters, large red, white and hot pink hex glitters. The pics are two coats.

I took a bottle shot of the two of them together.

What do you guys think of them? Do you think either would be something you would be interested in?

And last but not least, my cupcake kitchen ;)

Until next time! Happy painting!

Hey guys! wow that was a long title...haha but today you get not one, but two polishes for the price of one!! But wait there's more...sorry I'm channeling my inner infomercial right now ;)

Anyway, Sinful Colors Glass Pink is super pretty! It's in a new display that I found at Walgreens. It's a baby pink with tons of tiny glass flecks in it, it took three coats to get it the color I have it in the pictures.

Dash of Princess was made by the amazing Amy over at I'm Feeling Nail-Venturous I used two coats over the Sinful.

Voodoo Doll

Hey guys! Yep you heard me right, Voodoo Doll! That's the name of a franken done by the amazing Amy at I'm Feeling Nail-venturous. She has recently made some other amazing frankens that she has in posts on her blog, but as of now she has decided not to make an Etsy store for them. I also received another one of hers called A Dash Of Princess, which I'll wear here soon too :) Yay the PLOP ladies are awesome!!

Anyway I was already wearing ManGlaze Matte Is Murder (flat black) on my nails when I got the frankens in the mail, so I just used it as a layering polish. This is a full coverage glitter with about three coats, but I was impatient to get it on right away! Oh and btw the ManGlaze post will be tomorrow ;)

This is two coats of Voodoo Doll over two coats of Matte Is Murder.

It's it amazing?? I love love love it! What do you guys think?

Until next time, happy painting!

Holy gorgeous glitter batman!!

Hey guys! Here today with a special treat! The gorgeous Chelsea over at Pretty & Polished sent me a mini of one of her brand new frankens called Carni for review. For those of you that don't know, Chelsea is the queen of dusty hunting (most of my silver cap China Glaze have come from her) and she also has an Etsy page with all of her amazing one of a kind works of polish art!

So looking at this polish in the bottle, I figure it would be a full coverage glitter with a few coats, but I still wanted to show each on it's own as well.

The glitter is pink blue and purple small round, with a few big pink and blue hex glitters, and a few medium silver hex glitters. I love the little pop of a big glitter here and there, it makes it more interesting in my opinion.

It went on quick and easy, no sliding around of the glitter like a lot of others (with the exception of the biggins, but that's to be expected), it actually dried a lot faster than I was expecting as well. The pictures go in order from one coat to three. I LOVE this on it's own, but it would be beautiful layered too!

What do you guys think of it? I think I'm gonna blind people with my blingy nails in Zumba and in class tonight ;)

Until next time! Happy painting!

My first frankens!

Hey guys! Yesterday I started to try my hand at doing frankens, for those of you that don't know it's making your own polish! You start with whatever base polish you want, add color, glitter etc to get it the way you want it :)

I just bought some cheap WnW polishes (two clear and one purple) because I didn't want to mess up my polish :P I had ideas already and bought some glitter.

I like how all three of them turned out, BUT I wish they were jelly bases (I don't know where to find those)

From left to right you have spooky pumpkin, franken-berry, and black widow. First picture is one coat, second picture is two coats.

Spooky Pumpkin has green, orange and black glitter in it. Franken-Berry is purple with green glitter, and Black Widow is a light red with red and black glitter :)

What do you think?

Until next time! Happy painting!
