New Years...Kind Of?

Hey guys! I hope everyone had a great Christmas! Here today with a sort of New Years themed mani, the colors are but the stamp...well you can decide!

My old man picked out a silver and gold metallic polishes and said do something with these lol....well my brain is fried so I kind of had no idea what to do!

I started with two coats of Essie As Good As Gold, and two coats of Pure Ice Silver Mercedes on alternating nails, I then used Sinful Colors Black on Black and Bundle Monster BM-320 for the stamp. I've loved this one since I first got them but this is my first time using it :) Once I was done I topped it all with China Glaze Fairy Dust.

Like I said New Years colors for sure, the print? Well who knows, but it's still fun!!

Sweet Treats!

Hey guys! Here again today with another cell phone picture (sorry!) it was too cute not to share!!

I found Revlon Girly and wanted to do something with it, but not something overly Christmas since it's all pink and purple :P So I looked through my stamps and found one I thought would work great :)

The inspiration for these was stockings! Say what? Well with my family tradition was on Christmas Eve (aka today!) we could either open our stocking or one present. And normally our stockings were filled with lots of sweets, hence what I'm calling these nails, Sweet Treats!

I started with two coats of OPI I Think In Pink, Revlon Girly on my thumb and ring finger is also two coats. Then I used Color Club Wild At Heart with Bundle Monster BM-306. It stamped really well, but I took too long on my pointer so not all of it transferred.

Overall I love the look, super girly!!

Sorry about my middle finger, my cuticle got screwed up somehow :(

What do you guys think?

Until next time! Happy painting! And Happy Christmas Eve!

Snowflakes!

Hey guys! Yep I'm alive! I've been doing my nails but not blogging about them, since I can't seem to get Blogger to work well from my phone :P But if you're on my FB page you've probably seen what I've been doing :)

Finals are done and I have a few weeks off for the semester *woohoo!!* I actually did these nails before finals, but never uploaded the pics until today *whoops*, I got a ton of compliments at school, random places, and even Bundle Monster commented on them from Twitter :D

The base is two coats of Ludurana Azul Ceu, it really could have used 3 but who has time for that? ;) I then used Bundle Monster plates BM-323 and BM-319 for the stamps. What I did was pick and choose snowflakes from the full stamp on BM-323 to make each nail different, and used the single snowflake from BM-319 to add to that as well. I started with just using Snow Me White from Sinful Colors, then after I was done with the white I did a few snowflakes in Julep Jessica to try and create a little depth. I wrapped it all up with one coat of China Glaze Fairy Dust and tada!!

Seriously, even guys complimented these lol!!

Brown and Gold for Fall!

Hey guys!! Yes I know you're in shock that I'm posting! I've been keeping up a bit more with my Facebook page (link is on the side, go like me!) because it's quick and easy to do from my phone. But for the most part I have been SLAMMED with school!! Only a month left until break!

So today even though I'm not a huge fan of really dark colors I decided I wanted to do some brown. Thanksgiving is less than a week away so I figured it would be appropriate. Doubt it'll be on more than a few days, but ya know ;)

So I've got two coats of Orly Buried Alive as a base, its got this beautiful golden shimmer in it, and then I did a glitter gradient with Essence Snow White The Huntsman, which is this super pretty golden glitter. I'm digging the end result!

PCOS Awareness Nails.

Hey guys! Here today with a special post, today's post is all about PCOS. A fellow nail blogger Nory asked a bunch of girls if they wanted to participate to bring awareness to this devastating condition. She has knowingly suffered with it for 2 years, as well as a few of my other friends.

Here are some good links with info for those that would like to learn more about it. The month of September is awareness month for it.

The Colors for PCOS are teal and white, so not only is this mani about helping a fellow lacquered lover, but the colors are beautiful too. For this mani I used a few different colors all of which are two coats, my thumb and ring finger are Sinful Colors Snow Me White, My pointer finger is China Glaze DV8, My middle finger is Essence Street Styler, my ring finger is China Glaze Custom Kicks, and the glitter over my pinky is Essence Nail Art Twin Clyde. I used Bundle Monster plates BM-314 (pointer), BM-321 (middle) and BM-317 (ring). And last but not least used some rhinestones to make the ribbon on my thumb.

What do you guys think? Are you going to do a PCOS post now? :)

Until next time! Happy painting!

Pink Rubber Nails? Illamasqua says so!

Hey guys! Here today with the other purchase I made at Sephora, one of the new Illamasqua Rubber Brights, this one's name is Devotee. I decided I needed the pink, of course, but then again who's surprised by that? ;) Carly over at Lacquered Lover has swatches of 5 of the 6 in the collection here.

So this polish is pretty cool, it's matte but the finish is just different than anything else I have. It's a super fun bubble gum pink, which my camera had a hard time capturing, but it's beautiful! I used two coats to get the color I have now. I could have done 3 for safe measure but without being able to use a fast dry top coat I didn't want to risk them not drying!

For fun, on my thumb and ring finger I added two coats of an indie polish a friend made, sorry can't give you more info than that! But because it's a pink and green glitter I knew I wanted it! Longish story short, the old man is green and I'm pink, so pink and green ;)

This was such a fun and simple mani I just love it, this shade of pink is perfect for summer!

Tendresse by Penelope Luz, a Brazilian Indie!

Hey guys! Sorry about the super late post today, I had a few appointments and errands to run this morning so I've been a busy lady!

Here today with a polish made by Penelope Luz, who is a lacquerhead from Brazil. I had the pleasure of being introduced to her by another Brazilian friend, so that she and I could do a swap. Not only did she send me what I asked for from Brazil but she sent some of her indie polishes as well! She has recently made a FB page for her polishes and begun selling them as well, check her out here.

I do own 3 of her other creations as well as two that were made just specifically for me (yay!) but those will all be for another time! Today's post is Tendresse, I used 3 coats with no base color (shock! no undies!) It does look a bit different than in her swatch pics, I'm not sure if she changed the formula a bit or what, but mine has green glitter not blue. Either way I still love it!

MMMM Sprinkles!

Hey guys! Here today with my very first Nail's Inc. polishes! They both just happen to be from the new sprinkles line. I have now decided I *need* all of them! Not just because they are amazing, but they have cupcakes on the lids! Some of you don't know but I'm in love with cupcakes, my kitchen is even decorated in them ;)

So onto the polish, I used Nail's Inc. Sweets Way and Topping Lane, I did a Carly with how I painted them, using Topping Lane on my pointer, middle and pinky on my left hand, and opposite on the right hand, then did Sweets Way on my thumb and ring finger :)

Each of them is two coats, and even with as much glitter as they have in them, they went on super easy! The first and last picture are both with no flash, and the middle is with flash.

Mmmm Jelly Sandwich!

Hey guys! Here today with my first ever jelly sandwich! Sounds pretty tasty right? ;) So what exactly is a jelly sandwich, in the polish sense? I didn't know back when I was new into the polish scene but it's a layering technique normally with a glitter and jelly finishes done in layers.

My jelly sandwich consists of two of the three Zoya blogger polishes by Birchbox, and a fabulous black and white glitter from Sonoma Nail Art! I thought it would be fun to use Zoya Coraline and Zoya Kate together since pink and orange together seems to be a hot trend recently. The glitter used is Sonoma Nail Art My Three Glitters.

I started with one coat of the Zoya polishes, followed by a coat of My Three Glitters. I repeated the Zoya two more times, and My Three Glitters one more time. So it went Z, MTG, Z, MTG, Z. These Zoya polishes are beautiful!! I love them so much, and MTG is amazing too! There are black diamond shapes, white squares, black and white bars, black and white mirco hex, and small black and white hex glitters. Just yum!

Happy Independence Day!!

Hey guys! Happy Independence Day!!! Well for my US followers anyway, I know it's different in every country :P Today is a day where I proudly show off my red, white and blue! I am a southern girl, from a military town, and the old man is an ex Marine, so yes patriotism, we haz it!

I couldn't for the life of me figure out what I wanted to do for today's mani, so I just decided to do something different on each hand :P

On my right I sponged Red (OPI The Color of Minnie) White (Sinful Colors Snow me White) and Blue (China Glaze First Mate) at a slight slant on each of my nails. On my ring finger I used red, silver and blue rhinestones to bling it out!! After the sponging was dry I stamped over them with an image off of the Lilac A01 that seemed to be perfect for the occasion. Now if only I was better at stamping!!

Side note I ordered the new Bundle Monster set today, so I should be doing more stamping soon!

My right hand I painted red with OPI The Color of Minnie (2 coats), and topped it one thick coat of Elemental Styles U.S.A.-mericium.

I think I have just about all of it in this mani, sponging, bling, stamping, glitter, phew!! I'm ready to grill and watch some fireworks!!

And bottle shots

Have a SAFE and fun filled day, please call a DD if you are drinking and watch out for the crazies on the roads!

Pretty & Polished day 5, Swing!

Hey guys! Day 5, as in the last day of my Pretty & Polished posts *womp womp* :( Today's post is about Swing, an oh my gosh I have have have to have you polish. For my newer readers, my favorite color is pink, so there is NO such thing as too much of it for me. So when Sarah from Chalkboard Nails posted about Swing I was like "gahhhhh!!!"

Now it's supposed to be a red jelly, but it's never really looked red to me, I see it as a hot pink, maybe just because my eyes aren't huge fans of red? Hm...yea no idea. But none the less this is a gorgeous polish!  It's a jelly base, which means different depths of glitter, which is oh so lovely! I'm going to admit I had an issue getting the bigger glitters out BUT and I say that with caps, it was all my fault! I left this polish in the "I need to be added to your stash list but you just wait too long so you put me in here with the others that need to be on the list too" basket. It was on it's side so all the huge lovely hex glitters were like, we are just gonna take a nap over here on the side, k? And I was NOT patient enough to wait until the morning to wear this beauty!

So after my rambling, we had a red jelly base that looks hot pink to me, it has white, silver and black glitters in different sizes through out. I used two coats and a top coat and I am seriously in love. I do think this is my favorite of the polishes I own of Chelsea's this far.

What do you guys think? Which one of the 5 I've posted was your favorite?

Pretty & Polished day 4, Dream Queen!

Hey guys! Day 4 here with one of Chelsea over at Pretty & Polished newest creations. I remember the hype about this polish and I knew all too well why after seeing her first post about it!! I just HAD to have it!

Dream Queen is this super pretty creamy purple base with white and pink hex glitters, and purple square glitters. SQUARE GLITTERS!!! This is two coats and a top coat of this beauty :)

Pretty & Polished day 3, Elvis's Pink Cadillac!

Hey guys, day 3 here we go! Today we have Elvis's Pink Cadillac. Here's a picture of the real deal for those of you that are curious ;)

This polish isn't like anything else I've seen, just like all of the polishes Chelsea over at Pretty & Polished makes. It't a pale pink with micro black glitter, and black hex glitter as well. I liked it in the bottle but was afraid the pink would wash me out since I'm so pale! But I was super happy to see it worked well with me :D

This is two coats, although one seemed to do the trick I wanted to make sure I was good to go coverage wise!
