First day, testing the waters.

Taking the advice of a friend, I said what the hell, I'll go for it. The worst that can happen is no one reads this right? eh that's not too bad.

Today marks the official end of the Spring semester at COS. Thank God! The semester seemed longer than an elephant's pregnancy to be matter of fact. Somehow I managed to continue kicking ass and taking names, with 4 As and 1 B. Some days I honestly have no idea how I do it. The summer should prove to be interesting, the heat here causes you to want to be inside, otherwise you feel like you will melt like the wicked witch of the west, but if you're down for that, be my guest, be my guest, be my guest. It wouldn't be so bad if we had more than one car *sigh* so now I'm going to have to figure out what to do for the entire summer to keep myself and my son entertained without needing to wear a straight jacket. Any suggestions? Any at all?

On a good note, my son's first birthday party was this past weekend, other than lame people with even lamer (is that even a word?) excuses we had a good time. I cannot believe he will be one on the 31st. I feel like I was just pregnant, going into L&D once a week freaking out thinking I was in labor...I never was :P He still amazes me everyday, I still can't wrap my head around the fact that I made that, he is part of me and always will be. Makes my heart happy :) Those of you that don't have kids won't understand. Think of it as watching your favorite sports team, go from no one knowing who they are, watching them fall and pick themselves up again, only to become the best team ever (in your opinion anyway) it's kind of like that.

For now I'll leave you with a picture that the friend that inspired me to start a blog took at my son's party this past weekend. Cute right?

  2. He is a lil cutie pie! Victoria, you did take some great pics!! Wish we didn't live so far away from each other :( I so wanted to be there. As for passing time during the summer...Well starting this blog will pass some of that time :) Do you have a local YMCA or somewhere you can take swimming classes? Maybe enroll Brendan? I know they start babies out a 6mo. Even if he doesnt learn anything from it I'm sure yall will still have fun :) I also suggest taking walks daily. Getting out the house and breathing in some fresh air is a must!

O my gosh...I'm realizing its 1am here! Yikes! Why do I keep staying up this late!? Damn internet :P
