Breaking Dawn premiere giveaway! ***CLOSED***

Hey guys! it's giveaway time again! This time around it's for the Breaking Dawn premiere, yes you guessed it, I'm a twi-hard ;) Not horrible bad, but I do own the books and movies, and like to go to the midnight showings. That's about where it stopped, until it came to polish!

Some of you may or may not know of a brand called Essence, they are not a US based company, so it's harder to find other than the Essence colour and go minis you can find at Ulta. Well anyway they have "nail art twins" which consist of a base color, and a glitter top coat. All of them are named after famous couples.

In our case, we have Bella and Edward :) These beauties, as well as Picture Polish vampire are the polishes to win. I also have some temporary vampire bite tattoos, as well as water adhesive stickers of Edward and for those of you that like the werewolves, Jacob.

The amazing Ms. Traci has some beautiful swatches of Bella & Edward if you would like to see what they look like on. I don't personally know this person, but there are some great swatches of Vampire for you to look at as well :)

Please read all the rules on the giveaway form, and good luck!!

Mini Sally's haul

Hey guys :) I went to Sally's today to use my 15% off coupon before it was too late. The Halloween polishes that I wanted were gone, and the Holiday ones weren't out yet, so I asked about them. I got lucky! The girl working was super nice, and brought stuff out of the back for me, even though they wouldn't be on the shelves until tomorrow :)

For now I bought three of the China Glaze holiday gift sets, but I may get more! I also got my first crystal nail file since I have heard such great things about them!

The first set has Dorothy who, ruby slippers, and a new one from the holiday collection frostbite, and came with a Christmas tree cork for wine.

The second came with poinsettia, twinkle lights and holly-day

and the last came with tinsel town, and champagne bubbles, along with a pretty ornament.

Best part?! I only paid $35 total for all the polishes, and nail file, with tax! With my Sally's card, and coupon I saved $15!! woohoo!

Until next time, happy painting!

A England, lady of the lake

Hey guys! I was drooling to try A England, lady of the lake, so no Halloween post today! But I think it's worth it!!

I won this in a giveaway last week, along with two others (read about it a few posts back) and couldn't think of something Halloween to do over it, so I left it alone.

Holy crap this color is gorgeous! It's a medium purple with scattered holo, and those of you that know once you go holo you can never go back! You become obsessed!!!

On with the pictures you say? I've got em! :D

Inside, natural light, no flash.

She's beautiful right?! This is my first A England, and I think I **need** more, what others should I look into?

Until next time! Happy painting :D

Halloween/ school pride

Hey guys :) Today was spirit day for my college, it's homecoming week :P So I wanted to make sure my nails were school colors but still do something Halloween-ish too!

They are not that cute, but I went off of a recommendation of one of the PLOP ladies ;)

I used Dr.'s Remedy in tranquil tangerine, and China Glaze first mate for the blue, I used a small nail art brush for the faces and letters, seems like I'm better with more complex stuff verses the east stuff!! lol!

From my pinky to my thumb you have 11" since it's 2011, Alpha Gamma Sigma (I'm president), COS (college of the sequoias), Fall and my favorite, a star :)

What do you think?

Until next time, happy painting!

Halloween, lizard belly spiderwebs!

Hey guys! If you read my last post, you will know that I won Glitter Gal lizard belly in a contest done by the amazing Traci

Last night when I got the polishes I decided I *had* to use lizard belly first! But what could I do with it that would be Halloween themed? So I thought sliver spiderwebs would look great!

I only used one coat of lizard belly (woohoo!) then I used Pure Ice silver mercedes with some nail art brushes to do my spiderweb designs :)

Ahhh I love it!! Girls in class loved it too, so what do you think?

Until next time! Happy painting!

Traci is God! My contest wins!!! **must see!!*

Hey guys! Last week I won Traci's giveaway from Llarowe, if you haven't checked out her site before, do it now!!! There are some amazing polishes there!

Those of you that don't know who Traci is, are slacking!! She is part of the reason I have become obsessed with polish ;) Some people are huge haters and talk a lot of crap about her, but they can stick it up their butt for all I care :P All I have had with Traci are great experiences, and her blog is wonderful too, talk about someone to be jealous of, her fingers are perfect!

So anyway I got to choose three different polishes, and I got them in the mail today!!

I picked Ozotic 529, A England lady of the lake, and Glitter Gal lizard belly. Yep you can drool, it's okay...I did!!

So here are some pictures of them in the bottles :D

Beautiful right??? I'm going to attempt something with lizard belly first, keep your fingers crossed for me!!

Until next time, happy painting :D

Halloween stamped nails

Hey guys! More Halloween nails! I think next month is going to get boring :P

Last night I changed my candy corn nails up but was just to "eh" to do something super fancy, so I grabbed my Konad m57 (I think?) plate (the only one I have btw) and off I went.

I used Orly fresh for my green, then topped it with one coat of Pumpkin Nail Enamel in glow in the dark green. I used WnW ink well to use for the stamping, then added a few orange rhinestones along with the accent nails.

Sorry for the chip wear on my pointer, I took the pictures tonight instead of last night when I did them :P I also did clean up in a dark room so it's not the best in the world, like I said I was feeling "eh" lol :P

What do you think? They do glow in the dark but I'm horrible with pictures evidently :P lol

Until next time! Happy painting :D

Halloween, candy corn nails!

Hey guys :) After the last kind of creepy mani I decided to do something sweet :) Last week at Target I got these slipper socks that had candy corn with faces on them, I thought they were adorable!!

So today they were my inspiration :D

As my base I used Zoya kelly, the orange is China Glaze papaya punch, the yellow is Color Club almost famous, the white is Finger Paints paper mache, and the black is Sinful Colors black on black.

The black started to dry fast than I wanted so it got a little stingy when I was using my nail art brush :( poor little candy corns have black on their faces lol. But overall I'm super happy with how they came out, they are so cute!!

What do you think?

Until next time, happy painting!!

Halloween graveyard nails!

Hey guys :) I decided to get creative and create what I call graveyard nails, no inspiration this time other than Halloween itself :)

I started with Zoya Kelly as my dark grey back ground then went about doing the nail art from there, when I was finished I topped it off with a matte top coat. It took me a while to do it, but I am SUPER pleased with the result, and cannot wait to see reactions in my classes!

From my thumb to my pinky, crosses, a bat, a tombstone "Al B Back" (get it? ha), spooky dead tree, and another headstone "rip"

How do you think they turned out?

Until next time, happy painting!

Halloween, It's Alive!

Ok so I guess this isn't actually a "Halloween" post, but it's a Halloween polish that I just got so I'm calling it a Halloween post! lol

My friend Jessica sent me China Glaze it's alive and I couldn't wait to try it out. Its a beautiful blackish green glitter. It only took ONE coat!! Granted it was a thick coat but still, one coaters are always awesome!!

Nothing too fancy this time around, just some good old fashioned glitter!

What do you think?

Until next time, happy painting!
