Halloween/ school pride

Hey guys :) Today was spirit day for my college, it's homecoming week :P So I wanted to make sure my nails were school colors but still do something Halloween-ish too!

They are not that cute, but I went off of a recommendation of one of the PLOP ladies ;)

I used Dr.'s Remedy in tranquil tangerine, and China Glaze first mate for the blue, I used a small nail art brush for the faces and letters, seems like I'm better with more complex stuff verses the east stuff!! lol!

From my pinky to my thumb you have 11" since it's 2011, Alpha Gamma Sigma (I'm president), COS (college of the sequoias), Fall and my favorite, a star :)

What do you think?

Until next time, happy painting!

Halloween, lizard belly spiderwebs!

Hey guys! If you read my last post, you will know that I won Glitter Gal lizard belly in a contest done by the amazing Traci

Last night when I got the polishes I decided I *had* to use lizard belly first! But what could I do with it that would be Halloween themed? So I thought sliver spiderwebs would look great!

I only used one coat of lizard belly (woohoo!) then I used Pure Ice silver mercedes with some nail art brushes to do my spiderweb designs :)

Ahhh I love it!! Girls in class loved it too, so what do you think?

Until next time! Happy painting!

Halloween stamped nails

Hey guys! More Halloween nails! I think next month is going to get boring :P

Last night I changed my candy corn nails up but was just to "eh" to do something super fancy, so I grabbed my Konad m57 (I think?) plate (the only one I have btw) and off I went.

I used Orly fresh for my green, then topped it with one coat of Pumpkin Nail Enamel in glow in the dark green. I used WnW ink well to use for the stamping, then added a few orange rhinestones along with the accent nails.

Sorry for the chip wear on my pointer, I took the pictures tonight instead of last night when I did them :P I also did clean up in a dark room so it's not the best in the world, like I said I was feeling "eh" lol :P

What do you think? They do glow in the dark but I'm horrible with pictures evidently :P lol

Until next time! Happy painting :D

Halloween, candy corn nails!

Hey guys :) After the last kind of creepy mani I decided to do something sweet :) Last week at Target I got these slipper socks that had candy corn with faces on them, I thought they were adorable!!

So today they were my inspiration :D

As my base I used Zoya kelly, the orange is China Glaze papaya punch, the yellow is Color Club almost famous, the white is Finger Paints paper mache, and the black is Sinful Colors black on black.

The black started to dry fast than I wanted so it got a little stingy when I was using my nail art brush :( poor little candy corns have black on their faces lol. But overall I'm super happy with how they came out, they are so cute!!

What do you think?

Until next time, happy painting!!

Halloween graveyard nails!

Hey guys :) I decided to get creative and create what I call graveyard nails, no inspiration this time other than Halloween itself :)

I started with Zoya Kelly as my dark grey back ground then went about doing the nail art from there, when I was finished I topped it off with a matte top coat. It took me a while to do it, but I am SUPER pleased with the result, and cannot wait to see reactions in my classes!

From my thumb to my pinky, crosses, a bat, a tombstone "Al B Back" (get it? ha), spooky dead tree, and another headstone "rip"

How do you think they turned out?

Until next time, happy painting!

Halloween, It's Alive!

Ok so I guess this isn't actually a "Halloween" post, but it's a Halloween polish that I just got so I'm calling it a Halloween post! lol

My friend Jessica sent me China Glaze it's alive and I couldn't wait to try it out. Its a beautiful blackish green glitter. It only took ONE coat!! Granted it was a thick coat but still, one coaters are always awesome!!

Nothing too fancy this time around, just some good old fashioned glitter!

Halloween owl nails!

Hey guys, I saw a tutorial on Cute Polish that was owls, and I thought it was adorable, so I decided to do it, but with Halloween colors of course!

It's super easy and fun, and you can change it up by just changing the colors!

I used a neon orange by Color Club wham pow, I used two coats. I then used Sinful Colors black on black for my dots, the owls nose, wings and eyes, and Finger Paints paper mache for the white. All you need is a dotting tool, or a toothpick if you are good enough, I never was lol. And the polish you want!

I got so many compliments on them! and I loved them too :)

What do you guys think?

Until next time! Happy painting!

Halloween, spooky eyes!

Hey guys! Sorry I haven't been around this week, I've been super busy with school.

Last night I managed to do my nails (I had the vampire ones on for 4 days! *shock*) last night, and once again did something just like Sarah over at Chalkboard Nails, granted a lot of other people have done it too, but she is where I got the idea. :)

I painted all of my nails black, then used a purple (Sinful Colors verbena), yellow (Sinful Colors unicorn) blue (Sinful Colors savage) orange (OPI a good man-darin is hard to find) and green (Pure Ice wild thing). I used a nail dotting too to make the shapes of the eyes, then added more black for the middle of the eyes.

I think they are cute, and they were also super easy! I got quite a few comments on them at school today :)

My fingers are SOOO dry! I forgot to lotion them, and this was after doing dishes, so sorry about that scary-ness!!

What do you guys think?

Until next time, happy painting!

Halloween, vampire nails!

Hey guys, hope everyone is having a fabulous weekend! I did this mani on Saturday, even though I'm posting it Sunday ;) My old man's birthday was Saturday and we went to the pumpkin patch, so I had to have more Halloween nails!

I painted my ring finger in Sinful Colors black on black, and added Wet N Wild behind closed doors over top of it. On the rest of my fingers I used Finger Paints paper mache, I used Sinful Colors gogo girl (which is actually red but looks more pink over the white *sad*) for the blood on both the ring finger and for the stamped blood drops on all the others, the stamp is from Konad plate 13 :) I topped it all off with one red rhinestone on each of the nails with the white polish.

I like it, although it didn't come out quite how I had imagined, but not bad at all! I got a few compliments on them :)

What tomorrow holds? No idea! Pumpkins? Black cat? Owl? Tombstones? Bats? no clue!

What do you guys think of them?

I didn't realize how bad of a clean up I did until I took the pictures, whoops! *shame*

Oh and here are a few pictures from the pumpkin patch tonight :)

Until next time, happy painting!

Halloween, chunky ghosties!

Hey guys! I'm trying to keep in theme with Halloween, so I did some chunky little ghosties :) I won't try and say the idea for them was mine, they so weren't! Sarah over at Chalkboard Nails is so cute, and her nails are awesome, I told her I was stealing her idea and she told me to go for it ;)

I had these on Thursday, so I did the blue and orange under them for my meeting day at school :P

Like normal the orange is China Glaze papaya punch, and the blue is Orly star of bombay, I really need to get some new navys and oranges! The white I used Finger Paints paper mache. I just used a dotting tool to make the ghosties, their eyes and mouths.

What do you think? I love them and got a bunch of compliments today :)

Until next time! Happy painting!

Halloween nail art stickers :)

Hey guys :) After doing all my swatches of the OTP collection last night, I decided I wanted to just add a fun little sticker on my ring fingers :) Sometimes I have a hard time having *just* painted nails and I want something more fun on them!

A friend of mine sent me these cute little Halloween nail art stickers by Kiss, I'm not too sure where she found them, but I really like them! So quick and easy, peal off, stick on and seal with a top coat, tada!

In these pictures I'm wearing Wet-N-Wild buy me a drink from the OTP collection :)

I love stars for those of you that don't know, so I decided to go with those first :) What do you think?

Until next time, happy painting!

Halloween, WnW OTP collection swatches!

Hey guys :) Yep more Halloween polishes! This is the last one, promise! ;) After this I'm hoping to have some super cute Halloween themed nails to show you all!

I had a hard time finding the OTP collection, much like most of the ladies I have talked to about it, but the lovely Sarah, who is a fellow polish obsessed blogger of Chalkboard Nails was able to find two almost whole sets. In a group the two of us are on on FB she did a giveaway of sorts to see who would be able to purchase the set from her, it was only missing tangled in my web, so I went for it and got it ;)

Two days later I found the collection on my own, and was able to get the last tangled in my web to complete my collection! woohoo :)

So now I have them to show all of you :)

I took the pictures so that you could see the name of all of the polishes, once again I'm sorry about the bad quality of the pictures, I hope they are good enough for you to fall in love with some new polish!

What do you think? Any favorites? I like most of them! Ink well is just black, nothing special, BUT I had to have the whole collection so meh...lol

Until next time! Happy painting!
