New Years...Kind Of?

Hey guys! I hope everyone had a great Christmas! Here today with a sort of New Years themed mani, the colors are but the stamp...well you can decide!

My old man picked out a silver and gold metallic polishes and said do something with these lol....well my brain is fried so I kind of had no idea what to do!

I started with two coats of Essie As Good As Gold, and two coats of Pure Ice Silver Mercedes on alternating nails, I then used Sinful Colors Black on Black and Bundle Monster BM-320 for the stamp. I've loved this one since I first got them but this is my first time using it :) Once I was done I topped it all with China Glaze Fairy Dust.

Like I said New Years colors for sure, the print? Well who knows, but it's still fun!!

What do you guys think?

Until next time! Happy painting!

Halloween, spooky eyes!

Hey guys! Sorry I haven't been around this week, I've been super busy with school.

Last night I managed to do my nails (I had the vampire ones on for 4 days! *shock*) last night, and once again did something just like Sarah over at Chalkboard Nails, granted a lot of other people have done it too, but she is where I got the idea. :)

I painted all of my nails black, then used a purple (Sinful Colors verbena), yellow (Sinful Colors unicorn) blue (Sinful Colors savage) orange (OPI a good man-darin is hard to find) and green (Pure Ice wild thing). I used a nail dotting too to make the shapes of the eyes, then added more black for the middle of the eyes.

I think they are cute, and they were also super easy! I got quite a few comments on them at school today :)

My fingers are SOOO dry! I forgot to lotion them, and this was after doing dishes, so sorry about that scary-ness!!

What do you guys think?

Until next time, happy painting!

Not too bad...for a guy

Last night I asked my hunnie to pick out some colors, or a color from my untired stash for me to repaint my nails.

The two he brought me I wasn't too sure of, he brought me Kleancolor military green, and Pure Ice mint dream....okay then.

So I used the military green and it covered in one coat (woohoo!) but it was super dark and I was thinking "it's summer...no way should I have this dark of a color on", but then I put the mint color over it and it completely changed it!

This was the outcome! I actually really like it lol, so he didn't do too bad ;) What do you guys think?

Until next time! Happy painting!

My first splatter attempt

I wanted to jump in and join all of you that have done splatter manis, this should be easy right?

WRONG...man I feel slow because I could NOT get the straw to work with me...maybe it's because it was one of those weird shaped ones with a heart that you love to use as a kid, why I had these? No clue...so I was like hmm how about we cut off the fancy part, it worked better but still not too hot. Time to take a trip to the Dollar Store!

So after huffing and puffing into this straw for what seemed like forever, I had the biggest mess ever. All over my hands, plate and table, even found two spots on my phone lol.

After clean up this is what we have. Not too horrible for a first try IMO, a bit of a fail on my pointer finger as Jo wanted to hog the damn thing, but not too bad.

So the white is Finger Paints paper mache, the pink is Pure Ice flirt alert, the blue is Zoya jo, and the green is Kleancolor melon green.

What do you think?

Here was part of the mess lol

Until next time, happy painting!

Purple ombre nails :)

Tonight I wanted to do something different, so I thought a skittle mani would be awesome, but why stop there, how about a water marbling skittles mani?! Yea it was an epic fail *pout*

I wanted to do something quick and easy that I hadn't done before, so I decided on purple ombre :) It's like a gradient but instead of being all on one nail you space it out, then add a glitter over top of all of them to make it a bit more uniform.

Here's how it turned out.

Starting from my thumb to my pinky

OPI- play till midnight
PURE ICE- no means no
CHINA GLAZE- senorita bonita
SINFUL COLORS- dream on, and verbena
topped off with Nicole by OPI one less lonely glitter.

super fun nails, Mrs. Pacman!!!

Last night I got bored and decided I wanted to take it back to my childhood and do some Mrs. Pacman nails :D

Using a black nail art brush, all the colors of polish and my dotting tools I accomplished it! And I am more than happy with the outcome :D

The black is Sinful Colors black on black, the yellow was some acrylic paint I had, white is Finger Paints paper mache, green is Pure Ice wild thing, red is Sinful Colors gogo girl and pink is Orly flirty.

So I was so excited I guess I put my top coat on a little too early and I did smear the ghosts and Mrs. Pacmans a little bit, but I think they still came out fabulous :D

YELLOWS AND GOLDS

GREENS

BLUES

PURPLES

BROWNS AND TANS

BLACKS, SILVERS, WHITES

Once again, if you have questions on colors, let me know! :)

HELP!!!

Tomorrow is Wednesday, which means I need to paint my nails pink! Just like in Mean Girls, the ladies at Polish-Aholics Anonymous wear pink on Wednesdays except ours in is in nail polish form ;)

So I need help! I have too many to choose from, so help me pick what color to do!

Keep in mind I do also have a matte top coat to change them up a bit ;)

and a close up of the swatches

if you couldn't see it in the picture the number zero is a crackle :)

So please help me choose! my brain is not working correctly today!

Variety is the spice of life!

So this weekend I have changed my nails twice, and I figured I would share some pictures for you to ohhhh and ahhhh over ;)

Friday I bought a color called "Tiffany Imposter" in Finger Paints brand and I LOVEEEE it! It's a beautiful color! I swatched it, and practiced what I thought would be a cute idea for when I did it on my own nails, and this was the result, thoughts?

And of course I had to hold onto one of my Tiffany & Co. boxes to show how close the color really is ;)

Then tonight I changed it up, because the polish-acholics anonymous group I'm in on FB does a Monday Mani, where there is a different "theme" or "challenge" I guess you could say weekly, and for tomorrow was sponging. Now mind you I have never done this before so I figured I would just wing it, what's the worst that could happen right?

I asked my old man to pick the colors, and he actually did a pretty good job! They look like night time to me :)

So for the base I used Pure Ice in Silver Mercedes, the dark blue is China Glaze First Mate, the lighter blue is Confetti Blue Bombshell, and the sparkle is Confetti Party Palace Blue :)

What do you think of the result?

Oh and how could I forget?! This was Saturday's haul, and believe it or not, I was actually good today and didn't buy more! :)

Happy Painting!! :D

Ahh the girly art of doing your nails and toes!

Thanks to a friend of mine, I am now obsessed with doing my nails and toes! It all started off with a swirly nail design, sounds cool right? It's a pain in the butt! Butttt it looks awesome! Here is how mine turned out :D

Well as most of us females that ever paint our nails know it doesn't seem to last long unless you have acrylic, so I took it off today because it had been chipping all over my damn house, and i did something different :)

My nails are now leopard, and I have a quick few pics on step by step :D

First do a clear base coat, then white (normally you have to do a few layers of the white to get it so it's not all streaky)
Once the white is dry you need a black nail art pen (you can get them pretty much anywhere) free hand a leopard print design on, leaving enough open spaces for the colors you are going to put on later.

Once that is dry apply your colors (I did mine inside of the circles I made)

And tada!! you have awesome nails that you didn't have to pay an arm and a leg for! :D
These are the colors I used for mine :)

Once I was done with my nails I decided I wanted to do zebra on my toes :)

once again start with a clear base coat, once dry choose your color and apply a few layers

Once dry add your sparkle polish, mine matches the color of the no sparkle polish that way I don't need to do 14 layers of sparkle that will NEVER come off later :P

Once dry get that black nail art pen again and free hand your zebra design :)

tada!! once again you did it at home and didn't have to fork over your money for food for the next month!

and these are the colors I used :)

I wish I could say these three were allllll my idea, but hey I'm not a jerk like that. This chick has videos on how to do each of the three that I have done so far, as well as other ones I have not tried before :) http://www.beautylish.com/profile/yivcy/videos

Happy painting!! :D
