A England, lady of the lake

Hey guys! I was drooling to try A England, lady of the lake, so no Halloween post today! But I think it's worth it!!

I won this in a giveaway last week, along with two others (read about it a few posts back) and couldn't think of something Halloween to do over it, so I left it alone.

Holy crap this color is gorgeous! It's a medium purple with scattered holo, and those of you that know once you go holo you can never go back! You become obsessed!!!

On with the pictures you say? I've got em! :D

Inside, natural light, no flash.

Inside, natural light, with flash

Outside, sunlight, no flash.

She's beautiful right?! This is my first A England, and I think I **need** more, what others should I look into?

Until next time! Happy painting :D

Orly rock solid, and Saturday's haul

Hey readers, hope you all had a great weekend! I was able to take a short drive up to Fresno (about 40 minutes away) to go to my Ulta, number one on my list was to get the Fantasy Makers Halloween polish for a Halloween themed giveaway I will be doing very soon.

Last night I used Orly rock solid, which is one of the new mineral FX polishes, and I love it soo much! I *need* to go get the rest of the collection!

In the pictures it looks kind of bumpy, but it's not at all! There is something in it to make it have that effect and I LOVE it! To me it looks like blinged up concrete! There is holo glitter scattered through out the gun metal grey type color and it's just beautiful.

Isn't it pretty? Do you have any of this collection yet?

So my haul from this weekend wasn't too too much, but it was what I went for! While I was looking for the WnW on the prowl collection (at CVS) I found two more colors of Fantasy Makers that Ulta didn't have, which was exciting! But no otp collection :(

I bought one full set for myself, one full set for my giveaway that I'm getting together, and a few others for my friend Jess. I also picked up two Ulta brand polishes material girl and envy, as well as Zoya Jem.

My camera for some reason would NOT focus on the first picture, sorry about that! The second shows the Fantasy Makers colors, from left to right you have black magic (hard to tell in the picture but it has glitter in it), night glow, purple potion, creepy pumpkin, black pearl and vamp red (the last two were from CVS)

Until next time! Happy painting :)

Orly fowl play, and nail mail!

Hey guys :) So today I got a pleasant surprise! I knew Jess had sent me nail mail, but I wasn't expecting it yet. My mail came and no box, but no biggie I figured I would get it tomorrow, so a little later my neighbor comes by and says "this got delivered to our house" SCORE! woohoo!! I had already planned on a color for tonight but nail mail changed my mind there!

Since she is so awesome, and my area is HORRIBLE for finding anything (and no I'm so not being dramatic) she sent me Revlon blue mosaic, starry pink, and facets of fuchsia, Orly fowl play and rock solid, I also got my first EOS (chap stick in a ball that smells and tastes yummy!) some Halloween nail decals, and cupcake stickers :D I tell her all the time but I am lucky to have her as a friend <3

I figured I HAD to use fowl play since it's so sought after right now. It's beautiful and I wish I had a better camera to catch all the colors in it! The base is a jelly (or so it seems to me lol) that is a plum color, there are blue and purple tiny glass flecks and orangish flakies, it's beautiful! I can't wait to see it in the sun in the morning :D

Ignore the green polish on my hand lol...evidently I transferred that while I was taking it off :P

So what do you think?

Until next time, happy painting!

Hard Candy Beetle :)

Hey readers! A few weeks back my good friend Jessica sent me Hard Candy beetle just because :) And today I'm trying it out for the first time!

For those of you that don't know it's a beautiful douchrome and isn't too hard to find. Most Wal-mart store have it, unless it's like mine and is always sold out :P

It took two coats and I was actually able to get them done while the sun was still out! So yay for pictures! I tried to take quite a few to be able to show all of the different beautiful colors in it!

What do you think? I love it!! I also put it on my toes, but I'll spare yall on that ;)

Until next time! Happy painting :D

Kleancolor wild rose

Hey guys! Back with another one of the new Kleancolors I just recently got, this one is called wild rose.

I am in love with it! It's kind of pink and kind of purple all at the same time, it's got a very slight hint of shimmer and is just beautiful! Not only pretty but a ONE coat polish too, those as we all know are the best!

What do you think?

Until next time! Happy painting :)

China Glaze DV8. holo goodness!

Yay for holo polish! I got this beautiful blue baby in the mail yesterday from one of my best friends, isn't she awesome!? And the girls at Face and Friends voted for me to swatch this one first :) I put it on last night, but there was no point taking pictures inside so I waiting until this afternoon to use the California sun to show how pretty the polish is!

This is only the second holo I have worn, the other was China Glaze FYI which also belongs in this same collection. Other than the fact that holo polish is sooo pretty, it also seems to dry super quick! Which of course I love!

Onto the pictures, anddd commence drooling!

Gorgeous right? It would be a little bit more holo but I used SV over it which dulled it down just a bit.

So what do you think? Do you have any colors from this collection? Which one is your favorite?

Until next time! Happy painting :D

Sinful Colors forget now, and bling!

Hey readers :) I've had a very busy weekend reading and writing for my English 4 class, Gothic novels to be exact, interesting huh? Yea well this weekend was more about work than play for me!

I did however get a chance to take that beautiful purple off and change to pink! Once again I had my boyfriend pick out the color I was to wear, I made him choose from the new Sinful Colors I just purchased on Thursday and he chose "forget now". It is a beautiful dark shimmery pink. Took two coats and I topped it with Seche Vite. I was a bit bored, so I broke out the rhinestones again and added turquoise ones to my ring finger on my left hand. I love the color combo together, and it's just enough bling to make me feel not so boring :)

What do you think?

What designs do you make with your rhinestones? Or what would you do if you had them?

Until next time, happy painting!

Lots of stuff in this post! Hauls, giveaways and swatches! Oh my!

Hey lovely readers! I'm sorry I'm not posting as much as I was before, but as most of you know, fall semester has started. Only a week in and I'm already swamped!! It's okay, I'll kick ass and take names this semester just like all the others ;)

So those of you that have Walgreens near you, hit it up before tomorrow night!! They have all Sinful Colors polish on sale for 99 cent each! They are normally only $1.99 but $1 off per bottle, what polish-aholic could resist?! I went by last night and bought 29 bottles O.o now now...not ALL are for me! Four were for my boyfriends cousin who watches our little man while I'm in class, 5 are going into my giveaway, and the other 20 are for me lol. I also ordered Nfu-Oh 61 & 63 yesterday!! They got shipped today and I am uber excited about getting them! I order from beauty joint too lol...38 polishes total (all Kleancolors), 8 for my good friend Jessica (she is also getting a Nfu-oh 61 & 63, man I'm a good friend!) 2 for Ashley, and 5 for my giveaway, figure out whatever number is left and that's how many are for me lol. Then last but not least I went to Sally today and got my Seche Vite base and top coats, nail wheels so I can make some nail popsicle sticks (check them out here) acetone and cutical remover. Phew!!!

Now onto the swatch!!! I had my old man pick out the color last night, out of all the Sinful Colors I bought. He chose let's talk. It's a deep beautiful purple that is next to impossible to capture on camera. It looks blue in the picture but it's really not! I added some colored rhinestones to my ring finger in the shape of a flower for a little bling :)

Oh and how do you think I'm doing on my cleanup? I'm getting much better :D

What colors did I get you ask? Well I'll show ya! I won't list all the colors since there are so many, but if you want to know one of the names, email me (email is in my contact tab) or leave me a comment here and look for a reply :)

and last but not least, this will be part of my giveaway :D I plan on doing it close to the end of the month, that way I can get some more stuff together for it :)

That's all for tonight kids! Until next time! Happy painting!

Green with envy!

That is the title of the nails I did tonight :) Or that's what I'm calling them anyway! lol...could be Poison Ivy too ;)

I went into my untired polishes and these two just went together great (thanks Jess and Brie!) Both are Sinful Colors, the green is HD nails, and the glitter is call you later.

I did two coats of the HD nails, then did a gradient of the glitter starting about a 3rd of the way up, I really really love how this turned out!!! I think I might re-do something like this close to St. Patrick's Day too :)

What do you think?

I'm sorry my pics are so crappy :/ But we have inside with flash, and outside in the sun :)

And my little polish lover was at it again tonight (anytime I leave polish in his reach he does this lol) so I have to share ;)

Storing them in a safe place, aka his block box lol (get it...block box? haha)

Which one should I play with??

Until next time, happy painting!

My very first review! Dr.'s Remedy summer line.

So I tend to be a little jealous sometimes when it comes to polish, but honestly don't we all? So Isaid "what the hell" and sent an email to Dr.'s Remedy's nail polish line asking if I could review their polish. To my amazement I got a yes!

So yesterday I recieved their summer line, five summer shades bound to make anyone happy!

Along with my polish I got a nail file, and info on the polishes themselves, this is how it reads...

"Dr.'s Remedy is a line of doctor-inspired cosmetics that is dedicated to using clean, hypo-allergenic ingredients. Enriched with naturally occurring anti-fungal ingredients like tea tree oil, garlic bulb extract, vitamins C and E and wheat protein, Dr.'s Remedy Enriched Nail Polish is free from harsh toxins to promote healthier, stronger nails and the first ever nail polish on the market approved by the American Podiartic Medical Association. Dr.'s Remedy is available online for $17 per bottle or by calling 1-877-323-nail"

They currently have 24 shades, a top coat, base coat, remover, cutical oil and hydrating treatment available for purchase. You can also "like" their FB page for the most up to date information.

All pictures were taken outside in natural light, and in sunlight with no flash.

Now on to the swatches!

I started out using nurture nude pink. I'm not a big fan of nude and really pale colors, but they work great for people that aren't into the flashy shades like I am! In the picture taken, I used three coats to achieve that color, worst problem with that is three coats takes forever. It was a bit streaky (mainly because it's such a light color I believe) but went on well other wise. The brushes are the standard nail polish brush, but the smell of the polish is not nearly as strong as most others which was nice!

They describe this pink as "a delicate damsel-in-distress barely-there beautiful"

After the pink I moved on to the lovely lavender, IMO this is more of a fall shade than summer, but maybe it's because I'm weird :P The awesome part of this color to me was it only took ONE coat, yea, you didn't read that wrong, only one!

They describe this color as "a pale purple with matte depth and charm"

I then moved onto glee gold, I actually don't own any gold polishes (other than this one now of course) so I was really excited, and let me tell you the excitement was worth it! This color is beautiful. One coat would be enough if you are looking for more of a subtle gold, but those of you who know me, know I'm not into subtle so I went for three coats. It has a really pretty sheen to it, and micro flecks of what to me look like holo glitter.

For this one I had to do a natural light, and in the sun picture just to show you how gorgeous it is!

They describe it as "a shimmer-infused coin of perfection."

Now I cannot decide if this tranquil tangerine or the next is my favorite. Just like with the glee gold, this color could be done with one coat for something not so in your face, or three to make it super bold like I did. I am in love with this orange!! It is shimmery happiness in a bottle!

They describe it as "a bold, but wonderfully-wearable, slice of juicy delight."

And last but not least in any means is bold baby blue. I'm a sucker for blues, and honestly I have no idea why since my favorite color is pink, but hey, it is what it is. Also like the previous two you could get away with just one coat on this, but I did two for good measure. It's not quite a baby blue but also not quite to a turquoise, it sits nicely in the middle. This one I also had to show in the sun, it's too pretty not to! The shimmer and sheen of this is beautiful and I think it would work on anyone!

They describe it as "an aqua-meets-turquoise take on every boy's favorite color"

All in all I think these polishes would make a great addition to anyone's collection! I definitely want to add more to mine now!

Thanks for reading my first review and happy painting!
