So yesterday I recieved their summer line, five summer shades bound to make anyone happy!
Along with my polish I got a nail file, and info on the polishes themselves, this is how it reads...
"Dr.'s Remedy is a line of doctor-inspired cosmetics that is dedicated to using clean, hypo-allergenic ingredients. Enriched with naturally occurring anti-fungal ingredients like tea tree oil, garlic bulb extract, vitamins C and E and wheat protein, Dr.'s Remedy Enriched Nail Polish is free from harsh toxins to promote healthier, stronger nails and the first ever nail polish on the market approved by the American Podiartic Medical Association. Dr.'s Remedy is available online for $17 per bottle or by calling 1-877-323-nail"
They currently have 24 shades, a top coat, base coat, remover, cutical oil and hydrating treatment available for purchase. You can also "like" their FB page for the most up to date information.
All pictures were taken outside in natural light, and in sunlight with no flash.
Now on to the swatches!
I started out using nurture nude pink. I'm not a big fan of nude and really pale colors, but they work great for people that aren't into the flashy shades like I am! In the picture taken, I used three coats to achieve that color, worst problem with that is three coats takes forever. It was a bit streaky (mainly because it's such a light color I believe) but went on well other wise. The brushes are the standard nail polish brush, but the smell of the polish is not nearly as strong as most others which was nice!
They describe this pink as "a delicate damsel-in-distress barely-there beautiful"
After the pink I moved on to the lovely lavender, IMO this is more of a fall shade than summer, but maybe it's because I'm weird :P The awesome part of this color to me was it only took ONE coat, yea, you didn't read that wrong, only one!
They describe this color as "a pale purple with matte depth and charm"
I then moved onto glee gold, I actually don't own any gold polishes (other than this one now of course) so I was really excited, and let me tell you the excitement was worth it! This color is beautiful. One coat would be enough if you are looking for more of a subtle gold, but those of you who know me, know I'm not into subtle so I went for three coats. It has a really pretty sheen to it, and micro flecks of what to me look like holo glitter.
For this one I had to do a natural light, and in the sun picture just to show you how gorgeous it is!
They describe it as "a shimmer-infused coin of perfection."
Now I cannot decide if this tranquil tangerine or the next is my favorite. Just like with the glee gold, this color could be done with one coat for something not so in your face, or three to make it super bold like I did. I am in love with this orange!! It is shimmery happiness in a bottle!
They describe it as "a bold, but wonderfully-wearable, slice of juicy delight."
And last but not least in any means is bold baby blue. I'm a sucker for blues, and honestly I have no idea why since my favorite color is pink, but hey, it is what it is. Also like the previous two you could get away with just one coat on this, but I did two for good measure. It's not quite a baby blue but also not quite to a turquoise, it sits nicely in the middle. This one I also had to show in the sun, it's too pretty not to! The shimmer and sheen of this is beautiful and I think it would work on anyone!
They describe it as "an aqua-meets-turquoise take on every boy's favorite color"
All in all I think these polishes would make a great addition to anyone's collection! I definitely want to add more to mine now!
Thanks for reading my first review and happy painting!
