Hey guys! Here today with the other purchase I made at Sephora, one of the new Illamasqua Rubber Brights, this one's name is Devotee. I decided I needed the pink, of course, but then again who's surprised by that? ;) Carly over at Lacquered Lover has swatches of 5 of the 6 in the collection here.
So this polish is pretty cool, it's matte but the finish is just different than anything else I have. It's a super fun bubble gum pink, which my camera had a hard time capturing, but it's beautiful! I used two coats to get the color I have now. I could have done 3 for safe measure but without being able to use a fast dry top coat I didn't want to risk them not drying!
For fun, on my thumb and ring finger I added two coats of an indie polish a friend made, sorry can't give you more info than that! But because it's a pink and green glitter I knew I wanted it! Longish story short, the old man is green and I'm pink, so pink and green ;)
This was such a fun and simple mani I just love it, this shade of pink is perfect for summer!

Until next time! Happy painting!

Julep Suede Amber, Me!
Hey guys! Here today with something I never thought I'd have, a polish with my name, that isn't orange!!
So I had heard about, and also seen on FB that Julep was coming out with a few suede polishes, but since I hadn't gotten one in my Julep Maven box, I hadn't seen them in person yet. So after class I stopped by Sephora, because well it's on my way to the interstate so why not? ;)
Saw the suedes and about fell over dead when I saw "Amber", it would be better if it was pink, but I'll take it! It looks very similar to OPI You Don't Know Jacques Suede, but since I haven't compared them side by side yet I don't know how dupe-y they are. But I also figured I couldn't go wrong with a suede, so what the hell!
This is two coats, with no top coat since that would take away the finish. It applied easily and dried super fast!
What do you guys think?
Until next time! Happy painting!

Tendresse by Penelope Luz, a Brazilian Indie!
Hey guys! Sorry about the super late post today, I had a few appointments and errands to run this morning so I've been a busy lady!
Here today with a polish made by Penelope Luz, who is a lacquerhead from Brazil. I had the pleasure of being introduced to her by another Brazilian friend, so that she and I could do a swap. Not only did she send me what I asked for from Brazil but she sent some of her indie polishes as well! She has recently made a FB page for her polishes and begun selling them as well, check her out here.
I do own 3 of her other creations as well as two that were made just specifically for me (yay!) but those will all be for another time! Today's post is Tendresse, I used 3 coats with no base color (shock! no undies!) It does look a bit different than in her swatch pics, I'm not sure if she changed the formula a bit or what, but mine has green glitter not blue. Either way I still love it!

MMMM Sprinkles!
Hey guys! Here today with my very first Nail's Inc. polishes! They both just happen to be from the new sprinkles line. I have now decided I *need* all of them! Not just because they are amazing, but they have cupcakes on the lids! Some of you don't know but I'm in love with cupcakes, my kitchen is even decorated in them ;)
So onto the polish, I used Nail's Inc. Sweets Way and Topping Lane, I did a Carly with how I painted them, using Topping Lane on my pointer, middle and pinky on my left hand, and opposite on the right hand, then did Sweets Way on my thumb and ring finger :)
Each of them is two coats, and even with as much glitter as they have in them, they went on super easy! The first and last picture are both with no flash, and the middle is with flash.

Back to School Post 4, School Spirit!
Hey guys! Back today with what will be my last back to school post. This one is all about school spirit, which for me is red, white and blue bulldogs! I am currently a second semester junior at California State University Fresno :)
For this one I used white on two nails which is Sinful Colors Snow Me White, red which is OPI The Color Of Minnie, and the blue which is China Glaze First Mate. Each color is two coats. For the lettering I used a long thin nail art brush and the paw prints are done with a dotting tool. Pretty simple again today, but one I think I'll do again when it comes time to attend a football game!

Back to School Post 3, Chalkboard Nails!
Hey guys! Here today with school post 3 :) Chalkboard Nails! No not like the blog that Sarah owns, but actual Chalkboard!
I just recently received Zoya Veruschka in a secret swap, and thinking about it made me realize that it's the perfect green, that is already matte for an old school chalkboard look! So I used two coats of it, which applied like a dream btw, then using a standard white I drew on the different letters and numbers with a long thin nail art brush.
It was a pretty easy thing to do, and was also pretty quick which is always nice!

Back to School Post 2, Pencil Nails.
Hey guys! I'm sorry about the two day lack of posts, it's been a busy few days! I started back to school (CSU Fresno) on Thursday so I was slammed all day, then yesterday it took me way longer to get my errands done then I thought so there ya have it :P
I did want to share a little tidbit on why I've been busy other than my 2 year old, the old man, the dogs, and school haha, I've been busting my butt the past not quite two months to loose weight and get in shape, and the last 2 weeks I've been working with a trainer as well. Well as of yesterday I was down 24.4lbs in 7 weeks :D I'm super excited about it, and I'm starting to feel really good about my improvements! Now if only my nails would behave!
I had 3 breaks over the past two days (total on both hands) so I'm down to super nubs now! BUT have no fear, Rejuvacote is here!!! It arrived in my mail yesterday from Ninja Polish and because of results I've seen other friends and bloggers have had from it, I'm super excited!
Sorry about the babbling! Today's post is pencil inspired, A friend showed me a picture (and I cannot find the original) just like these and I love it! So I decided to do them too :) I started with the yellow which is Color Club Almost Famous, then the silver which is Finger Paints Easel Come Easel Go, and the pink which is Sinful Colors Timbleberry. I was just careful and did my brush strokes sideways instead of up and down. Each color is two coats.

Back to School Post 1, Notebook Paper!
Hey guys! Here today with day one of my back to school posts, I have two more planned and may end up with more depending on my imagination heh ;) So why back to school you ask? Well today is the first day back at for fall semester at my school (California State University Fresno). I don't actually have classes today other than online, my classes start on campus tomorrow :)
I'm in my second semester of junior year, and I'm going to be in 5 classes this semester. So I'll try and keep up with my blog, but depending on how much work I have it may dwindle :( But I'll try my best!!
So today's post is notebook paper nails :) I started with two coats of Sinful Colors Snow Me White, then used the sky blue paint from my Migi Nail Art pens with a long thin nail art brush to draw the lines on the white, followed by OPI The Color Of Minnie for the red line, and the black dots as well as doodles are Sinful Colors Black on Black. I used a combo of the nail art brush and a small dotting tool for the doodles. They aren't perfect but I think it's adorable!!
One of my lilac plates does have a stamp on it that looks like notebook paper but it also has a "I heart you" on it which I didn't want on every single nail. But for those of you interested in that it's lilac's A01 plate, which is the same plate I used for my July 4th mani.

Pinterest Inspiration Week, Day 7, Girly Bows.
Hey guys! Here today with the very last day of Pinterest inspiration week! And just like yesterday it's my favorite colors, pink! Today's pin is here, and just like yesterday there is no blog that goes along with it. This time my nails are a bit different, just the stamp was the inspiration.
Just like yesterday as well I used a China Glaze from the Summer Neon collection. I used two coats of Pink Plumeria on all except my middle finger which was one coat of Kleancolor Metallic Pink. I used Bundle Monster plate BM-317 for the stamp which was the Kleancolor on all but my middle finger and the China Glaze on the middle.
I did go over the bows with a small thin nail art brush because I was having a little bit of an issue with the full image transferring, as well as to make the line for the rest of the bow on the nail. After all of that was done I added a little pink bling in the form of a nail art rhinestone in the middle of each bow.
This is only the second time I've ever done bows and this is so girly it's killing me! I love it!! I can't wait to see what the girls at the gym say :D

Pinterest Inspiration Week, Day 6, Pink Leopard.
Hey guys! Here today with day 6 of Pinterest inspiration week :) Today's post is defiantly me! Pink pink pink! I love pink, it's my favorite color, so of course when I saw today's pin I had to do it! The pin is here there is no blog post with it. **warning** I did have a causality on my pinky finger, it's just horrible!! The horror!! I lost all of the overhang so it is a severe nub right now :*(
For those of you that follow me on Twitter will have seen that I was able to get my hands on 7 of the 12 China Glaze Summer Neons all half off at Sally's a few days ago, and yesterday I was able to snag one more! So of course I had to use one of them for today's post :)
I started with two coats of China Glaze Flirty Tankini, and wow I don't know why I didn't jump on these colors when they first came out! I am seriously in love with this pink. It's hard to see in pictures but it's got a super subtle shimmer in it, it's just so pretty! I used Kleancolor Metallic Pink to stamp with, and the stamp itself is just a generic plate from the little as seen on tv stamping set.
For those of you that don't know, the Kleancolor metallics work amazing for stamping! I plan to order the rest soon :)
For some reason my camera, lightbox and light were not working with my pinks! So I turned the flash on so that you're able to see the colors, in person it was easy to see :)

Pinterest Inspiration Week, Day 5, Rainbow Candy Cane.
Hey guys! Here today with day 5 of Pinterest week, only two days left to go! Then my fall semester starts *dun dun dunnnnnn* today's pin is here, and the original posting is here. Now let me say that I thought this was just amazing and after seeing who is was done by it made sense! I couldn't believe I was trying to do one of her manis!
But alas I tried it anyway, even though I'm not that great with stamping *yet*. So for this one I started with two coats of white then added my fast dry top coat, which recently has been the Color Club one that comes in the box sets! It doesn't tend to shrink like SV does, which I love!
Using Bundle Monster plate BM-301, China Glaze Fly, China Glaze Entourage, China Glaze Sky High Top, Zoya Pippa, Essie Orange It's Obvious, and Julep Anne got to stamping. I just swiped the polish on half of the stamp with either color before scraping and stamping onto my nail. It didn't all come out perfect but I was pretty happy with how it came out.
I love this look for summer, it's fun, airy and light!

Pinterest Inspiration Week, Day 4, Patchwork.
Hey guys! Here today with day 4 of Pinterest week :) Today's pin is here, with the original post here. This picture grabbed my attention because it reminded me of Sally from The Nightmare Before Christmas' dress! After reading the original post by the owner I realized that great minds think alike because she too thought that :)
For this design I was about as random as you can be! I just swiped on the different colored polishes where ever on my nails, then after the nail was filled I used a small nail art brush to make the "patch" lines :) My patch lines are a bit messy, which I didn't realize until I was done but it's because I need a new black, bad...it's almost gone and getting difficult to work with!
The colors I used for this are Essence Nail Art Twin Bonnie, Picture Polish Jade, Zoya Dannii, and Zoya Rory. I used two coats of each for their spots on my nails :)

Pinterest Inspiration Week, Day 3, Neon Spun Sugar
Hey guys! Back with day 3! Today's inspiration came from this pin, and the original post is here. I had been wanting to try doing the spun sugar look for a few weeks now but just hadn't found the inspiration to do it, until I saw today's inspiration!
These two colors together are just fabulous! Neon yellow and bright blue! Now being as this was my first attempt at this technique it's not perfect, but I don't think it's horrible either haha! It was super messy, and for some reason the polish globbed (is that a word?) up on my nails quite a bit, but I still had a lot of fun doing them!
I did a base of white to start, followed by two coats of Sinful Colors Neon Melon on all but my ring finger, which is two coats of Sinful Colors Why Not. Then I went about the mess making! There is a good video here if you don't know how it works :)
After all was said and done I finished up with a coat of a matte finish, which is hard to tell because of the light reflecting off of my nails but you get the idea ;)
What do you guys think?
Until next time! Happy painting!

Pinterest Inspiration Week, Day 2, Lava Lamp.
Hey guys! It's day 2 of Pinterest inspiration week, and today's post once again came from one of Kayla's boards! This time it's her original art ;)
This is the picture from the pin, and this is her original post with the art. She called it neon drips, but I think it looks like a lava lamp!
I let the old man make the decision on the colors for this, and instead of a white background he thought it would look awesome with a black background. So I used two coats of Wet N Wild Ink Well as my base. He then decided pink and green for the lava, or drips would work.
For those that don't know I'm pink and he's green, it's just one of our things and I even have a pink and green star tattoo on my right wrist because of it ;)
Anyway back on track! Ha! The pink I used it Sinful Colors Folly and the green is Orly Fresh. This design is pretty simple and easy to do, just using a small nail art brush to make the outer lines of the lava itself, then I filled them in with the polish brush.
I think this is a super fun design, and it would be perfect for a 70s themed party!!

Pinterest Inspiration Week, Day 1, Love Letters.
Hey guys! Here today with the start of what will be a week of Pinterest inspired manis, sound familiar? Yep Kayla was doing it last week, and I'm borrowing the idea from her :)
Day 1 is love letter nails. I found the picture on Pinterest from one of Kayla's boards although it's not her art. The original post for this nail art design is here.
I started with two coat of China Glaze Hook And Line, which I'm in love with!! I didn't expect to like it as much as I do! Then using Bundle Monster Plates BM 303 and BM 311 with Wet N Wild Ink Well and Dr.'s Remedy Balance Brick for the stamping. The black didn't come out quite as dark as I would have liked, but I think it makes it look a bit like an old worn letter, and I think it's gorgeous and romantic looking!
SIDE NOTE if you, or someone you know has some awesome nail art boards please link them in a comment here for me :D
